Dungeon Diggin' - Unique Looks From The Steamvault

Dungeon Diggin' is a series where we scrounge through old instances looking for unique items and interesting looks. 


For today's Dungeon Diggin' we are heading to The Steamvault. This instance was introduced in The Burning Crusade and can be found inside the Coilfang Reservoir in  Zangarmarsh. Follow us after the jump for big guns and squid sticks aplenty!


Recoilless Rocket Ripper X-54 (Gun)

• What it looks like: It there is ever an item that lives up to the name "hand cannon" I believe we've fond it. This run is fairly massive. It looks like a mix between a cannon a gattling gun and and rocket launcher. It is fairly detailed with gun metal finish with brass detailing. It has the number "54" on the top plate. Wonder if it has a meaning?

Recoilless Rocket Ripper X-54 (Gun)

Serpentcrest Life-Staff (Staff)

• What it looks like: If you stabbed a sea creature with a stick and spun it around very quickly then froze it in place you might have an idea of what this staff looks like. It has a very nautical feel to it. The head has three backward facing spikes with some sort of aqua marine fin/webbing-like membranes in between the spikes. There is yellow nodules on the front end of the staff. If you're going for a nautical or sea theme this staff would be a good choice.

Mask of Penance (Plate Head)

• What it looks like: This is a re-color of one of my personal favorite helmets of all time the Judgement Crown (and all the 80 look alikes sch as Judgement Cover). No matter how many times I see this helmet it always seems completely bad ass. While seemingly simple in it's appearance it has a purple cowl with silver trim with writing on it. The face is competely covered with a face mask that has urple and magenta detailing. The eyes not only glow but glow outward giving the appearance of light coming straight out from the eyes. So. Damn. Awesome.

• Notes: This is one piece of a purple recolor for the paladin Judgment set. For information on where to get the rest of the set head to the Wowpedia Set Look Alikes page and look for the "Judgment Armor" listing.

Wrathtide Longbow (Bow)

• What it looks like: Have you always wanted a bow made out of stingrays? You're in luck! This odd little bow is one of the only ones I've seen that appear to be made of *live* animals. The two stingrays that compose this bow have faintly glowing green eyes. They are clearly still alive as their "wings" can be seen slowly wriggling around. The end of their tails have a red glow on them. A truly unique bow for any stingray aficionados collection. 
• Where it comes from: Drops from Warlord Kalithresh in The Steamvault (Heroic).
• Soulbound: Yes
